Bayonetta VS Sonic Heroes

Super Smash Bros for WiiU and 3DS released an update yesterday that added Bayonetta, Corrin and some Mii fighter costumes. Of the update, I was excited to see Bayonetta, Tails and Knuckles join the game, even if Tails and Knuckles are only Mii fighters.

Making the most of this update, I made a 1v3 video of Bayonetta versing the Sonic Heroes. I hope you enjoy it, please take a look below.

Duel 95 Server (2016)

Hey everyone!

The official Duel 95 Server is returning in 2016! Featuring the original administration of the server from 2011-2013, we’re aiming to build a larger overall infrastructure than previous worlds. It will sport the original survival multiplayer atmosphere that legacy players are used to. The server is currently limited to a very small amount of builders to start up the infrastructure before the final rollout. The release date is predicted to be up to 12 months.

So here’s a quick preview of some of the development so far:

Computer Upgrade

Hey everyone!

A few days ago I decided to step into the realm of water-cooling so I can get the most out of my Intel Core i7-2700K processor. So I went ahead and purchased a Corsair H100i hydro cooling unit for my system. Then some complications occurred…

Although my Corsair Graphite 230T case could technically fit the cooler, it wouldn’t allow me to use my current RAM sticks as they were too high – a ‘Very Low Profile‘ DIMM module worked, however that would mean I’d need to buy several hundred dollars worth of RAM. So I sprung for a new Corsair Obsidian 750D case instead.

Normally I don’t announce my computer upgrades often, but I actually live streamed this one on Twitch. You can still see the video (below) on Twitch, however there were some complications with YouTube so it’s only available on Twitch.

Pokémon Omega Ruby LP Series

Hey Everyone!

The Pokémon Omega Ruby ‘Let’s Play‘ live series has officially come to an end, finishing at the Battle Resort. There is more to the end of the game, but I’ll let you guys discover that for yourselves.

It’s sad to see the series end, but I had a lot of fun over the past few months streaming and conversing with viewers in the chat. You might have noticed that the stream quality improved over time, so it was also a new learning experience for me to use OBS for my first live series. Who knows, maybe I’ll broadcast another complete series soon enough. But until then, there will be some streams of random games that I may be playing – live schedule currently under reprogramming.

To commemorate the Live LP series, below is a highlight reel of my overall experience in Pokémon Omega Ruby. Enjoy!

Here is the complete episode listing for the series:

Versing Wallace in Pokémon & Intel NUC

Duel 95
Duel 95

Hey Everyone!

We’re almost to the end of Pokémon Omega Ruby after challenging the 8th (and last) gym leader at Sootopolis City. I versed Wallace after undertaking a few puzzles and encountered every trainer along the way. I did however experience technical difficulties in the middle of the stream – there was a blackout. That lead to corrupt local video recordings and missing obs settings. Anyway, take a look at the stream below:

In other news I will soon be reviewing the new Intel NUC HTPC computer which I will be using as a dedicated Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

Stay tuned for that and the continuation of Pokémon Omega Ruby.

Sonic Runners: First Play

Duel 95
Duel 95

Hey Everyone!

Tonight we broadcasted Sonic Runners (iPad) live for the first time on twitch.tv. This is a relatively new mobile game developed by SEGA Corporation (Japan) which is currently only being tested in Japanese and Canadian App Stores (Apple and Google Play).

It’s a continuous runner with multiple characters to choose from that offer different abilities (Tails can fly, etc.). The game has great music (like most Sonic games) for free mobile app. The gameplay offers in-game rewards to players as well as competitive rankings to make the game more addictive.

Overall, I see the game has great potential if it’s ever released in the greater western societies. See the recording below for my take on the gameplay in the one hour stream I did tonight.

Stay tuned!

Twitch live streams

Duel 95
Duel 95

Hey everyone!

Haven’t posted here in a while but don’t worry we’re still quite active elsewhere. In fact we’ve been live streaming on Twitch.tv! Some of which you can find on our YouTube channel. So far we’ve live streamed Garry’s Mod, Minecraft and Pokémon Omega Ruby.

Here is a list of the streams available on YouTube:

These are full length recordings of the live streams (generally about 1 hour long). Highlight edits are currently unavailable for live streams, but feel free to skim through the full recordings to parts that may interest you. Unfortunately due to current events I can’t guarantee a set schedule for the Pokémon series, but our general time slot is every Friday at 9pm AEDT.

We plan to incorporate the live stream to the homepage of duel95.com soon enough for convenience. Until then, we have updated the Contact Us page with some social media links – you can also find these on the YouTube channel.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned,
